    Twitpocalypse: Y2K Redux

    Twitpocalypse — doomsday for third-party applications used to access Twitter.com — had users of the popular social networking site abuzz with predictions of dire consequences. Many Twitter users posted links to www.twitpocalypse.com, a site devoted to keeping tabs on the Twitpocalypse situation. In bold red letters, the site proclaims: “Twitpocalypse is upon us!”

    But when all is said and done, the significance of the Twitpocalypse bug, much like the Y2K bug, appears to be exaggerated.
